Our Commitment to the Northern Rivers.
We surf these beaches. We hike these trails. We shop at the Mullumbimby Farmers Market. That is why we built a rubbish removal service that puts the environment first — every single load, every single day.
Protecting the Place We Call Home
The Northern Rivers is one of the most beautiful regions in Australia — from Byron Bay's Lighthouse and Main Beach to the ancient rainforests of the hinterland behind Crystal Castle.
We believe rubbish removal should not mean more waste in landfill.
Every single load we collect is hand-sorted to maximise recycling, composting, and donation. Our goal is simple: keep the Northern Rivers clean while sending as little as possible to landfill.
80%+ Recycled
On average, over 80% of every load we collect is recycled, composted, or donated. Here is the breakdown.
Where Your Stuff Actually Goes
Timber
Old decking, fence palings, and furniture timber recycled into mulch, chipboard, or biomass fuel at Northern Rivers timber recyclers
Metal
Washing machines, bed frames, roofing iron, and scrap metal sent to local scrap yards for melting and reuse
Green Waste
Storm debris, garden clippings, branches, and palm fronds composted locally into mulch and soil conditioner for Northern Rivers gardens
Electronics
Old TVs, computers, printers, and phones sent to certified e-waste processors. Hard drives securely wiped, components recovered safely
Furniture & Goods
Working couches, tables, beds, and household items donated weekly to St Vinnies Byron Bay, Salvos Ballina, and local op shops across the region
Mattresses
Steel springs separated for scrap metal, foam sent to recyclers, and fabric repurposed. We remove mattresses from upstairs bedrooms too
Working With the Community
We do not just drop everything at the tip. We have built relationships with recycling centres, scrap yards, composters, and charities across Byron Shire, Tweed Shire, and Ballina to ensure every item finds the most responsible destination possible.
Working Towards Zero Landfill
We are not there yet — but we are working on it every single day. Our target is to reach 90% diversion by 2027, and we are actively investing in new recycling partnerships and more efficient sorting processes to make that happen.
Every garage clearance in Byron Bay, every end-of-lease cleanout in Lennox Head, every storm season cleanup in Murwillumbah brings us one step closer to a Northern Rivers with zero unnecessary landfill waste.
